Lena Pereira

Online Fitness Magazine:  'An acclaimed International Dance and Fitness Presenter, AFAA certifier, and  fitness director, Lena has toured internationally as an Elite Nike Master Trainer. She certified aerobics instructors to teach the 'Nike Rockstar Workout' created by Jamie King. She is certified by AFAA as an aerobics instructor/personal trainer/AFAA provider and holds certifications in Kickboxing, Sculpting, Spinning, Pilates, and Aqua Aerobics.

Certifications/Other:

Lena's AFAA certifications- Primary Aerobics, Personal Trainer and Advanced Personal Trainer, Matt Pilates I and II and Kickboxing.  She also holds certifications in Aqua aerobics (SCW) Spinning and Spectral Journeys (Spinning and Yoga).  Lena is an AFAA Presenter and a designated AFAA Administrator.  She is responsible for getting two programs (Zumba and DanceLab) into AFAA so that instructors can earn the 7.5 (Zumba) or 10.5 (DanceLab) ceu's (continuing education units) from choreography/intensive training workshops.  She has taught workshops for Zumba, appeared in videos and toured nationally and internationally with the company before she decided to "do her own thing".  Lena was chosen, in 2004, as the Director of the Mayor's Corporate Health and Fitness Challenge in Miami.  

Lena has also worked as a Fitness Director at gyms in Miami, Florida such as Premiere Health and Fitness, Miami Beach Fitness and the "Spa International" at Fisher Island.   The specialty classes that she has taught and performed are:  Cowgirl Hip Hop, Strip Bar (similar to Cardio Strip Tease), Reggaetone, Stilletto Strength and the Nike Rockstar Workout.

Performances/T. V.:

Lena has taught/performed at all of the major events on South Beach (Miami's SELF Magazine workout in the Park, The Miami Beach Fitness Festival, the Volleypalooza, South Beach "Beach Ball Party", etc.)  Before becoming an aerobics instructor, Lena was a dance instructor.  She has danced on t.v. (Sabado Gigante) and in commercials (Fanta, Molsen).  Her classes have been featured on Deco Drive several times, WSVN-TV7 "Style File", WSVN-TV(FOX) 7 news at 10 and 5:30, WTVJ-TV(NBC) Today in South Florida, Telemundo Miami, Telemundo National, Channel 4 -Italian T.V. May 2007 (interview). Lena has danced at the most popular night clubs in South Beach (Crobar/Pearl/Mansion/Gem/Snatch).  She has performed/taught in Canada, Italy, Africa and all over the U.S.
